The historic 1876 Marbletown Schoolhouse opens for the season on Saturday, July 7th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., and continues each Saturday through September!
Located at the corner of Miller & Marbletown Rds., SE of Newark, in the hamlet of Marbletown, the District No. 5 schoolhouse was open from 1876 through 1947.
We hope you will stop by and tour the building. Our volunteer docents will be happy to show you around and answer any questions. There are informational materials and photos of all the area rural school districts, including many class photos. It is the only one room schoolhouse in Arcadia that is restored and open to the public.
Always free admission. To get there: From Rt. 88-S, take Silver Hill Rd. east to the brick schoolhouse. Address is 6631 Miller Rd.
