Visit the N-AHS Booth at the Event on Aug 27th

August 27th is the date for the 8th Annual Wine, Craft Beverage and Artisan festival At T. Spencer Knight Park in Newark.  Visit local artisans booths, food trucks and partake in samplings of wine and craft beverages from 5:30-8:30 p.m.  The Marbletones will perform from 6 to 8. The event is free, but sampling tickets are $20 in advance (Lyons National Bank & Chamber Welcome Center) or $25 on the day of the event.  A great late summer event. Come out and enjoy the goodness of local products and say hello to the folks at the N-AHS booth.

Dedication To Judith Harrington on August 14

There will be a plaque dedication in memory of Judith Harrington at the Marbletown Schoolhouse on Saturday, Aug. 14th at 1:00 p.m.  All are invited to attend.

Judith was deeply involved with the Marbletown Schoolhouse for many years before moving to Ohio. She was a past Board member, had a column in the newsletter, wrote cemetery walk scripts, co-chaired the Exhibits Committee, served on numerous committees, and participated in an Historic House Tour by opening their home. But most of all, her love of the schoolhouse superseded all.

Safety Plan Updated for the Museum

Masks are now optional in the Museum for fully vaccinated individuals.  Further details are provided within the attached safety plan.

If you have not been vaccinated or if you are immune-compromised, it is in everyone’s best interest for you to wear a mask inside the museum.  The stronger Covid variants circulating can wreak havoc with your life should you become infected.

If you fall into this category let the docents know.  They can don masks for your protection while you are visiting if you so desire.

We still sanitize our surroundings, and our ventilation system provides a better air quality.  We want to make your visit as comfortable as possible.  Please inform us of any concerns you may have.
