N-AHS 7th Annual Outdoor History/Movie Night is Thurs. Aug. 15th!

Join us on Thursday, August 15th, at 8:00 p.m., as John Zornow will present and narrate the “Newark in 1942” film, created by the Lions Club. It includes “everything Newark” and the filming is excellent, showcasing life in Newark in the early 1940s and beyond. 

The program will be held at the T. Spencer Knight Erie Canal Park, on VanBuren St. Please bring your own chairs. Refreshments will be available!

Rosa Fox Will Highlight Wayne County Women

Rosa Fox’s program will be offered again at the Newark-Arcadia Museum on Tuesday, May 28, at 7:00 p.m.  The program was originally scheduled for April 6th as part of the Spring Lecture Series.

“Notable Women of Wayne County” will feature women from each of the 15 towns. Educators, lawyers, politicians, business leaders, religious leaders, suffragists, abolitionists, philanthropists, and others will highlight this presentation.

Rosa is the Historian for the Town of Huron, and was Wayne County Bicentennial co-chair.

The program will be held in conjunction with the Wayne County NY Genealogical Society.
