Looking Forward

It now feels more like spring but it does not seem that way at the Historical Society. It’s normally the time of new exhibits, open houses and events. But there is still a need to be cautious against a virus that has killed ten times more people than the flu (CDC, 2/1/20 – 5/16/20). Although New York has started re-opening, museums will need to wait until Phase 4 at the end of June.  We hope to have a safe re-opening of the museum at that time.  Until then, we will continue to engage you with items of historical interest. We have just added “Drug Stores of the Past” to the Local History page.  We are exploring the idea of online and perhaps outdoor lectures this summer.  Until then, stay upbeat.  This won’t last forever.
